Monday March 1-National Pig Day

1. I collected pig knick-knacks when my kids were small and we celebrated National Pig Day.We always had pig-out pudding served in pot pie tins -no hands allowed for eating.
2.Across the country there will be Pig Outs, Pig Roasts,Snort Offs,pink pig punch,Pig Parties and online Pig Chats.It will be celebrated in schools,nursing homes and zoos.In New York, two pot bellied pigs na are the center of the celebration.

3. In Lehigh Valley ,PA the Iron Pigs,a a minor league baseball team, will be giving out free tickets to baseball games for during the season.

4. Pig Day was started by two sisters in 1972 to show the intelligence and importance of domestic pig.

5.I got a pedicure from my sweetie this weekend. Happy pink piggies!

6.My ceramic pig,the size of a cat ,is named Hamlet.
7.Porky Pig is Looney Tunes favorite ham.
8. Miss Piggy is the Queen of the Muppet Show.
9. A new comic Pearls Before Swine makes my husband and I  laugh every morning.
10.Insulin comes from pigs. My sister and my husband depend on it.
