1. In-law’s 60th anniversary— yes, 60 years!!!!!!!
2. To celebrate– outdoor Mass with family gathered together
3. Remarkable to realize the results of their love and faith— 7 children, 24 grandchildren and 3 great-granddaughters; 6 daughter-in-laws and 1 son-in-law, 6 spouses of grandchildren
4. Weather that cooperated— coolest day in a long time, clouds were welcome
5. Great food– ymmmm!
6. Ho-Ho cake from Italian bakery– better than sex! (am I allowed to say that?)
7. Love I felt by being there– I love them and they love me. Wow.
8. Seeing Mark, having strength to talk with him in a friendly group. Not getting upset when others are wondering what’s going on with us and asking questions. Pushing aside until later thoughts of who’s he’s texting, why leaving early, etc.
9. Waiting until in car headed home to cry.
10. Tears don’t last as long now. Progress?
1. Zentangle inspired pieces spread all over the floor waiting to be framed. I drew them– how cool is that?!
2. Clouds this morning– balls of cotton on top of each other filling the sky
3. Not getting in accident while looking at the clouds. : )
4. Being a shoulder to cry on for daughter’s friend after boyfriend broke up with her. Her mom passed away 4 years ago. Love ya Rachael!
5. My art— simply being able to call it art– wow! What a great gift from God when needed it so much. Amazing.
6. Dreams — believing they can come true (they can, right?)
7. Poi– learning that there is such a thing and watching Rachael do sock poi and light poi; also does fire poi— careful! Mesmerizing.
8. Son, Jess— 27 years old today. Enjoying this day without being in labor, intense pain for hours and hours and hours– natural childbirth-day 27 years ago- breathe. Where were epidurals back then?!
9. Thinking of childbirth & remembering sister-in-law 20+ years ago describing it as “crapping a watermelon!”
10. I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman, “Where’s the self-help section?” She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose. ~ George Carlin
